Behind the Scenes of the Cinco de Mayo Omaha VIP Experience
By Josefina Loza
When you do this kind of work — storytelling, branding, building experiences — you dream of the moments when it all clicks.
For Cinco de Mayo Omaha 2025, that moment came to life in the form of a thoughtfully crafted VIP experience we built for media professionals and influencers. And yes, I’m going to brag a little.
Because this wasn’t just another event invite.
It will be a full-blown immersive cultural activation, designed to honor South Omaha’s history, uplift the businesses rooted in our community, and give our guests a front-row seat to one of the largest and most historic Cinco de Mayo celebrations in the Midwest.
Our goal was simple: Make our media guests feel seen, celebrated, and connected to the story.
That meant curating a guidebook that was more than logistics. It became part of the experience. We wanted our guests to see the soul of South Omaha. So, we created a stunning, interactive Cinco de Mayo Omaha Media Guide, a digital flipbook that walked through the weekend’s highlights, local food and cultural landmarks, influencer callouts, photo prompts, and special behind-the-scenes access.

Every page was intentional. Every moment was curated. For obvious reasons, we blocked out information on the guide with the Lozafina badge. From the “Murals to Market” walking tour, to front-row access to music concerts, to private meet-and-greets with cultural organizers and musicians, we designed this VIP experience to feel like our guests were part of something bigger than just a celebration.
Why It Matters
Because media are not just storytellers, they’re story-shapers. When we bring them into the fold with care and cultural authenticity, we ensure our communities are represented with the dignity and color they deserve.
Creating a media experience like this allows us to:
Control the narrative with visual storytelling tools
Elevate diverse businesses and voices on a national stage
Build lasting relationships with content creators and news outlets
Honor culture while driving foot traffic and online buzz
So yes, I’m bragging. Because this is the kind of intentional, high-touch strategy we live for at Lozafina.
