Enjoy riding your bike? How about riding your bike to support a good cause? On June 17 The National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI)-Southwest Iowa is hosting the Ride 4 Resilience & Recovery fundraiser. NAMI supports individuals and families who are living with mental health conditions.
The ride, which begins in Council Bluffs, Iowa and ends in Blanchard, Iowa, is a total of 62.3 miles along the Wabash Trail. If that seems like a lot, do what you can! There will be six stops, and NAMI-Southwest Iowa notes that the trail is relatively flat, and partially covered.
Not sure if you’re up for a ride, but still want to support NAMI- Southwest Iowa? The Pancake Man will be flipping flapjacks at the start line from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. The pancake feed is a free-will donation, but registration for the ride is $30 before the event, or $35 on the day of the event. T-shirts can be purchased for an additional $15.
