Recovery is important. Building back with the future in mind is just as critical.
The U.S. Small Business Administration is hosting an online information session for homeowners, business owners and private nonprofit organizations interested in learning how SBA disaster loans can support mitigation projects and long-term resilience.
The session will explain what mitigation is, how the SBA mitigation loan option works, when borrowers can apply and what steps are involved. Eligible borrowers may be able to request up to 20% of their verified physical loss from their initial physical disaster loan to fund qualifying property improvements designed to reduce future damage.
The presentation will last approximately 45 minutes, followed by time for questions and conversation with SBA subject matter experts.
The webinar will be hosted on Zoom. Registered participants can access the webinar through the event registration platform, with the link becoming available 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
