Knowing how to recognize when someone may be in crisis and how to respond can help connect them with the support they need.
Join Region 6 Behavioral Healthcare for an in-person Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) training at The Salvation Army Omaha Kroc Center. QPR stands for Question, Persuade and Refer—three practical steps designed to help individuals recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and respond appropriately.
Similar to how CPR training prepares people to respond during a medical emergency, QPR training is designed to give everyday people the knowledge and confidence to respond when someone may be experiencing a suicide crisis. Participants will learn how to recognize potential warning signs, begin an important conversation, encourage someone to seek help and connect them with appropriate resources.
The training is suitable for anyone who wants to become better prepared to support a friend, family member, colleague, neighbor or other member of the community who may be struggling.
This one-hour, in-person training is free to attend
