The Durham Museum is celebrating a major milestone: turning 50!

The Museum will welcome guests for free on Saturday, June 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a variety of events lined up throughout the day, including:

𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀
• 10:30 a.m. The Shucks Brothers
• 12:30 p.m.: Daniel & The Deliverance
• 2:30 p.m.: Finding Dixie

𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀
• 11 a.m.: Soda Fountain
• Noon: Photo Archive
• 1 p.m.: Byron Reed Collection
• 2 p.m.: Preserving Union Station

𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄-𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲
• 11:30 a.m.: Cornhusker Club Car
• 12:30 p.m.: Titanic Pocket Watch and Tornado Bear
• 1:30 p.m.: Cornhusker Club Car
• 3 p.m.: Titanic Pocket Watch and Tornado Bear

Aside from timed events, guests can explore the must-see summer exhibit, “The Animation Academy: From Pencils to Pixels.” There will also be “throwback” prices at the Soda Foundation, including $1 hot dog (one per person), 50-cent popcorn, and 50-cent one-scoop sundaes.

In addition to parking at The Durham Museum, the Conagra Brands parking lot at 7th and Leavenworth streets, with free shuttle drop-off at the museum, will be available during our 50th anniversary event.

Pickup will begin at 9:45AM. The last shuttle will leave The Durham at 4:30PM.
