RTG Building Services Expands Presence Across Major Omaha Projects

As large-scale development continues to reshape Omaha’s skyline and infrastructure, our client RTG Building Services is emerging as a growing presence within some of the region’s most visible construction projects.

The Omaha-based company is currently supporting operations inside the new Mutual of Omaha tower, a 44-story development in downtown Omaha that is expected to become the tallest building in the state upon completion.

RTG has been onsite for nearly two months, providing ongoing rough cleaning services to support active construction. Final cleaning has recently begun on select floors, marking a transition in the project’s progress.

The contract was secured through a competitive bid process, placing RTG among the firms selected to support one of the largest developments in the city.

Company leadership views the project as a significant milestone.

“This project is a defining moment for us,” said Ramiro Gaitan, president of RTG Building Services. “It reinforces that RTG can operate at scale, and that’s something we’ll carry forward for years to come. When potential partners see the size and complexity of this work, it speaks for itself.”

The company’s involvement in the tower project has coincided with additional growth.

RTG Building Services recently secured a new data center project described as comparable in scale to the tower, further expanding its work in large commercial environments.

“This opportunity opened the door to what’s next,” Gaitan said. “Through this work, our partners saw what we’re capable of, and that led directly to another project of equal scale with a new data center.”

In Northwest Omaha, RTG Building Services is also preparing to begin work on a facility associated with the Metropolitan Utilities District, adding to a portfolio that now includes both private-sector and infrastructure-related projects.

The company is also expected to begin work on a central library project in mid-April, pending final approvals.

The expansion of project work has led to measurable growth within the organization. Over the past two months, RTG has increased its workforce from approximately 90 employees to more than 100.

The increase reflects both the scale of current projects and continued demand from contractors and partners.

RTG’s growth comes at a time when Omaha is experiencing heightened construction activity across commercial, infrastructure, and civic sectors. Projects such as the Mutual of Omaha tower represent broader investment in the city’s downtown core, while additional developments across the metro continue to drive demand for construction-related services.

As work progresses, RTG leadership says the company remains focused on execution and long-term relationships.

“Our goal is to continue delivering at a high level,” Gaitan said. “That’s what builds trust and leads to future opportunities.”
