Omaha, Lincoln Students Can Earn $500 While Helping Shape This Youth Impact Summit
Applications are nearing their deadline for students interested in helping shape one of the region’s youth-centered leadership events.
Inclusive Communities is accepting applications through April 30 for its Youth Summit Advisory Committee, inviting students in grades 8 through 12 from the Omaha and Lincoln metro areas to take part in planning this year’s Youth Impact Summit. The advisory committee is a student leadership group that works alongside organizers to help design the summit experience, identify relevant topics, recommend speakers, shape programming, and ensure the event reflects the voices and lived experiences of young people.
Selected students will play a direct role in guiding summit conversations, advising on event priorities, and helping create a space centered on dialogue, inclusion, and youth leadership. Participants chosen for the advisory committee will receive a $500 stipend.
The opportunity also offers students a chance to build leadership skills, collaborate with peers from across the region, and gain experience in civic engagement, teamwork, and event planning.
Inclusive Communities, founded in Omaha in 1938, works to confront prejudice, bigotry, and discrimination through education, advocacy, leadership development, and community-building initiatives. Its youth programming has long focused on creating spaces where young people can learn, connect, and lead.
Students who have considered applying are encouraged to do so soon, as the application window closes at the end of the month.
