Lozafina Welcomes Itzel Davila Torres as Communications Specialist

Lozafina is welcoming a familiar face to the team.

After spending the summer learning the agency from the inside as a Lozafina communications intern, Itzel Davila Torres is officially joining the team as a Communications Specialist.

A sophomore at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Davila Torres is studying Advertising and Public Relations with minors in psychology and entrepreneurship. Her interests include marketing, advertising, social media, and nonprofit communications.

During her internship, Davila Torres gained hands-on experience in storytelling, content creation, community engagement, and client work. She also stepped into the role of Lozafina reporter, interviewing local business owners and helping tell stories happening throughout the community.

Now, as a Communications Specialist, she will continue supporting Lozafina's client work through content development, social media, research, storytelling, and client communications.

“Itzel came to Lozafina ready to learn, but more importantly, ready to do the work,” said Josefina Loza, founder and CEO of Lozafina. “She jumped in, asked questions and grew throughout the summer. Bringing her onto the team felt like a natural next step.”

Davila Torres originally joined Lozafina hoping to build her skills in marketing, content creation, and client communication while gaining professional experience.

Now, she gets to keep building.
