Join Metropolitan Community College for a powerful screening of Stolen Spirits: America’s Stolen Generation, a film examining the history and lasting effects of the forced removal of Indigenous children from their families and communities.

The screening will feature Judi Gaiashkibos, Executive Director of the Nebraska Commission on Indian Affairs, and explore the legacy of policies and institutions that separated Native children from their cultural traditions, languages, and families.

Through this important historical exploration, attendees will have the opportunity to reflect on the experiences of Indigenous communities and gain a deeper understanding of the intergenerational effects of these policies.

The event also highlights the importance of cultural preservation, healing, and acknowledging historical experiences that continue to shape Indigenous communities today.

Featured Guest: Judi Gaiashkibos, Executive Director of the Nebraska Commission on Indian Affairs.
