It’s been a whole year since Lincoln-based Saro Cider decided to open a second location in Omaha near the Old Market. They’re celebrating the only way they know how … with a special evening menu, drink specials, live music, and giveaways.
Saro Cider co-founder Matt Wood found his love for hard ciders - an alcoholic beverage made from the fermented juice of fruits, namely apples - after being diagnosed with celiac disease. Celiac is an autoimmune disorder that causes the individual to have adverse side effects after ingesting gluten, which is found in barley, wheat and rye. Hard cider provided him a way to enjoy a drink with friends.
