The Durham Musem is celebrating National Root Beer Float Day early this year helping patrons turn the delicious celebration into a two-day event.
Head down to The Durham Museum on Saturday, August 5 between 10 am and 4 pm to receive a free 8 oz Root Beer Float with admission at the old-fashioned soda shop (while supplies last).
NE SciFest members will conduct science experiments from 10 am to -1 pm. Then, Dr. Oxygen will take over with science demonstrations from 1 pm to 2 pm.
After enjoying the sweet treat and demonstrations, explore the museum. Current exhibits include: Towers of Tomorrow with Lego Bricks; The Lunchbox: Packed with Pop Culture; and Honoring 75 Year: The History of Omaha’s World War II Memorial Park.
Admission is $15 for adults and $8 for children ages 3 to 12. Children under 2 are free. There are discounts for military veterans and seniors.
