Restaurant Sustainability: Pitching Change

  • MCC Institute for Culinary Arts, Fort Omaha Campus 5300 North 30th Street Omaha, Nebraska, 68111 United States (map)

Restaurant Sustainability: Pitching Change is part of the Restaurant Business Essentials series, a partnership between the Greater Omaha Chamber, Metropolitan Community College’s Business Development team and MCC’s Institute for the Culinary Arts. The series offers practical workshops designed to help restaurant owners, managers and food service professionals strengthen the business skills behind their operations.

During this collaborative session, participants will develop a “green pitch” aligned with the Green Restaurant Association’s environmental certification standards. The workshop encourages participants to challenge existing practices and think creatively about ways restaurants can operate more sustainably.

Local sustainability experts and community members will take on the role of industry coaches and “sharks,” providing feedback, mentoring and scoring participants’ ideas using a real-world impact matrix. The goal is to help participants refine practical sustainability solutions while building their ability to communicate and advocate for change within a restaurant setting.

The cost to attend is $19.
