Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month in Omaha at Fiestas Patrias, returning to Historic South 24th Street from September 11–13, 2026. The three-day celebration is free and open to the whole family, bringing together music, food, traditions and community in the heart of South Omaha.

Casa de la Cultura and Supermercado Nuestra Familia will continue a tradition of Mexican festivals in Omaha that now reaches its 106th year. In 2026, the celebration will recognize the “Year of the Family” while honoring more than a century of culture, tradition and community along historic South 24th Street.

Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities and entertainment, including a parade, health fair, food vendors, exhibitors, a Mariachi Mass, lucha libre and live music. The weekend will also feature performances from Conjunto Rio Grande and Kumbia Kings, alongside additional music and community programming.

Saturday’s activities include the Desfile, health fair and lucha libre, while Sunday will continue the celebration with the traditional Misa con Mariachi and more community events.

One of the weekend’s highlights will be El Grito de Independencia on Sunday night. The celebration will feature fireworks along with performances by Banda Santa Cruz and the Hispanic Community Center of Omaha, continuing a tradition that brings the community together each year.

Fiestas Patrias is an opportunity to celebrate generations of Hispanic culture in Omaha while enjoying a weekend filled with music, food, family and community. In 2026, the festival marks 106 years of family festivals in Omaha and the people who have helped keep these traditions strong.
