Discover the beauty of historical penmanship at The Durham Museum's Calligraphy Workshop, an interactive experience inspired by the museum's special exhibition, In Search of the Signers.
Led by Omaha-based artist and calligrapher Cheryl Dyer, this workshop invites participants to explore the elegant lettering styles associated with America's founding fathers.
During the session, Cheryl will introduce the art of historical calligraphy and guide attendees through creating classic letterforms. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about traditional lettering techniques while gaining an appreciation for the craftsmanship behind handwritten documents.
As a special keepsake, every participant will receive their name elegantly handwritten by Cheryl on premium paper.
Whether you're interested in art, history, or simply trying something creative, this hands-on workshop offers an enjoyable opportunity to experience the art of calligraphy.
