The Nebraska Crossroads Music Festival is teaming up with the Joslyn Art Museum for its final performance during Art-tastic Saturdays! From spoken word to music, dance, and art, this event celebrates diverse forms of expression.
Activities include:
A musical storytime featuring storyteller and flute player Marie Sonderskov, with the help of Olga Smola on violin, Oscar Rios Pohirieth on pan pipes and percussion, and Erik Higgins on gamba.
Matt Mason, former Nebraska State Poet, will be leading 30-minute storytelling and poetry workshops.
There will be a folk-inspired family concert featuring Erik Higgins on amplified viola da gamba, Marie Sonderskov on baroque flute and vocals, and Olga Smola on violin.
A poetry performance featuring talented young poets from Nebraska, led by current and former Nebraska State Poets, Jewel Rodger and Matt Mason.
Create your own blackout poetry with teaching artist Jean Mason.
As always, there will be an art cat station and some exhibits will be available for viewing.
