During the July feature of Art-tastic, activities and presentations will be focused around two new temporary exhibits, "Suchitra Mattai: The Fall" and "The Floating World and Beyond: 200 Years of Japanese Prints."
Starting at 11 am, guest can enjoy an out-and-about storytime with the Omaha Public Library.
At noon and 1 p.m., join Alexis Espinoza-Arrubla from Fern Foundation for Kids for a mindfulness activity for all ages.
At 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., there will be demonstrations of Kendo, the art of Japenese fencing, with Omaha Kendo and laido Kyokai.
Throughout the day, guests can contribute to a large-scale weaving project that is inspired by Suchitra Mattai and other fiber artists.
There will also be a public tour of “Made in the Great Plains,” led by gallery volunteers, at 11 a.m.
