The 2026 Candidate Academy is a Greater Omaha Chamber leadership program designed to help prepare a bipartisan group of candidates and potential candidates who are interested in pursuing public office.

Public service begins with people who are willing to bring their perspectives, skills and ideas to the table. Through Candidate Academy, participants will build a foundation for understanding what it takes to get started in public office while developing connections that can provide support throughout the process.

Candidates for the program’s second class will be selected through a competitive application process. The Chamber is looking for individuals who demonstrate meaningful community involvement, leadership potential and a clear vision for public service in Greater Omaha.

The Academy consists of three sessions, taking place on:

• November 12,

• November 19

• December 2

The program is limited to current Greater Omaha Chamber members. Whether you have already considered running for office or simply want to better understand what that path could look like, Candidate Academy offers an opportunity to learn, connect and explore the next steps.
