Proven Ventures Is Showing Up for Nebraska Entrepreneurs

Our client Proven Ventures has been busy, and we’re proud to see it.

First, the Proven Ventures team showed up at the Omaha Women’s Network’s Meant for More Summit, joining 250 women entrepreneurs, professionals, and business leaders for a day centered on leadership, community, and growth.

The room was filled with women building businesses, creating opportunities and making moves across Omaha. That is exactly where Proven Ventures belongs.

Proven Ventures is not a traditional investment firm. It provides flexible debt-equity capital designed for Nebraska businesses with traction and room to grow. Its model gives founders another option beyond traditional debt or private equity, and helps them access capital without immediately giving up control of the companies they worked so hard to build.

That work was also highlighted in today’s Midlands Business Journal.

A venture investor and co-founder of Proven Ventures, Erica Wassinger was quoted in the publication’s feature about the Hustle Conference, helping readers understand why founders need more exposure to the different ways they can fund and grow their businesses.

This is what being ingrained in the business community looks like.

It is not simply writing checks. It is showing up, sharing knowledge, building relationships, and helping founders understand what is possible.

Wassinger will lead an “Ask Me Anything” breakout session on raising, using, and returning capital at the Hustle Conference. She told the Midlands Business Journal that founders who struggle to find funding aren’t necessarily facing a shortage of capital — they may just be looking at the wrong kind.

She said Proven Ventures looks for founders focused less on scaling for its own sake and more on serving the customers they already have.

“Our capital is really built for founders who love their customer and want to keep serving them,” Wassinger told the Midlands Business Journal. “I need people who need more capital for sales and support — because if I can unlock that bottleneck, I can serve more of my customers.”

From supporting women in business at Meant for More to participating in conversations surrounding the Hustle Conference, Proven Ventures continues to make sure Nebraska entrepreneurs have access to capital—and to people who genuinely want to see them succeed.

We’re proud to work with a team that backs builders and invests in Nebraska’s future.
