MENTOR Nebraska Marks 25 Years by Expanding the Conversation Around Mentoring Across the State

As MENTOR Nebraska celebrates its 25th anniversary, the statewide nonprofit is using the milestone to expand awareness of mentoring, strengthen community partnerships, and encourage more Nebraskans to become mentors.

Over the past several months, Lozafina has partnered with MENTOR Nebraska to develop a series of campaigns showcasing the people, programs, and communities working every day to support young people across the state.

A central focus of the anniversary has been mentor recruitment. Through community outreach and digital storytelling, MENTOR Nebraska is encouraging adults from all backgrounds to become mentors, reinforcing the message that one consistent relationship can have a lifelong impact on a young person's future.

The organization has also increased visibility for mentoring programs through a series of partner spotlights recognizing organizations making a difference in communities across Nebraska. Together, the stories illustrate the strength of the statewide network committed to creating meaningful mentoring opportunities.

This year, MENTOR Nebraska also expanded the conversation beyond traditional youth mentoring with a workplace mentoring campaign that highlights mentorship as a valuable tool for leadership development, employee engagement, and professional growth.

Another major initiative this year has been the rollout of MENTOR Nebraska's statewide mentoring mapping report, offering one of the most comprehensive looks at mentoring programs across Nebraska's 93 counties. The report identifies where mentoring resources exist, where gaps remain, and provides community leaders, educators, funders, and nonprofit organizations with data to better understand mentoring access throughout the state and identify opportunities for collaboration.

Video storytelling has also played an important role throughout the anniversary campaign. Mentor and mentee testimonials, community partner interviews, and youth stories have helped personalize the impact of mentoring by sharing firsthand experiences from those whose lives have been changed through meaningful relationships.

As MENTOR Nebraska marks 25 years of service, the organization continues to focus on building stronger mentoring connections that benefit young people, families, schools, workplaces, and communities throughout Nebraska.
