Lozafina x Hustle Conference Launches Young Hustlers Cohort to Give Emerging Creators Real-World Experience

Young creatives are often told they need experience before they can get an opportunity. Josefina Loza of Lozafina Marketing & Public Relations and Eric Gautschi, founder of the Hustle Conference, decided to flip that script.

They created the Young Hustlers Cohort to allow emerging creators to work on a real campaign promoting the entrepreneurship event.

“We’re proud to be sponsoring the Hustle Conference. But I didn’t want Lozafina’s sponsorship to be only about putting our logo on something,” Loza said. “I wanted to use our access to create access for someone else.”

UNO Student and Rising Hustler Kinverly Franco Recinos interviews Molly Huyck founder of Aequitas Invest and SET The Bar in Benson.

Members of the cohort are helping develop original content, conduct interviews, capture photos and videos, create social media posts, and tell stories leading up to and during the conference. They are encouraged to bring their own ideas, perspectives, and personalities to the campaign.

The experience gives participants:

  • Real-world marketing and public relations experience

  • Published work for their portfolios

  • Access to conference speakers, founders, and business leaders

  • Opportunities to grow their professional networks

  • Recognition through Lozafina’s platforms

  • A behind-the-scenes look at producing a major campaign

  • Consideration for future freelance, internship, and creative opportunities

Loza understands how difficult it can be for young professionals, especially those from underrepresented communities, to get into the rooms where connections and opportunities are created.

“Talent is everywhere. Access isn’t,” she said. “Sometimes young people simply need someone to open the door, trust their creativity, and let them show what they can do.”

Cohort members attending the Hustle Conference will also have the freedom to network, learn from nationally recognized speakers, and experience the event while documenting it through their own lenses.

Gautschi immediately embraced the idea of letting young creatives take the lead. To recognize their hard work and give them full access to the experience, he offered each participating creator a complimentary seat at the conference.

“Eric understood the vision right away,” Loza said. “He didn’t just welcome their creativity. He made sure they had a seat in the room.”

The goal is bigger than promoting one conference. Lozafina hopes the campaign helps each participant leave with stronger skills, meaningful connections, professional work they can proudly share, and more confidence in what they bring to the table.

This is what creating opportunity looks like: Give young creatives the room, the resources, and the trust, and watch them hustle.
