Lozafina Honored with The Bloc’s Champion for Community Award
Lozafina, a Nebraska-based branding, marketing, and public relations agency, was honored with The Bloc’s Champion for Community Award during the 50 Over 50 Nebraska celebration held Saturday, October 25. The award recognizes leaders and organizations making a meaningful, lasting impact in their communities.
Founded by Josefina Loza in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Lozafina was built on a mission to amplify diverse voices through authentic storytelling, public relations, and community-driven communication. What began as a one-woman venture has grown into a dynamic agency known for its work with nonprofits, civic organizations, and mission-aligned businesses across Nebraska and beyond.
The recognition comes as Lozafina celebrates its fifth anniversary, a milestone that reflects the agency’s continued growth and influence in elevating stories of culture, equity, and empowerment. Over the years, Lozafina has led communications efforts for organizations including Inclusive Communities, Mentor Nebraska, the Great Plains Black History Museum, and EPIC for Girls.
“The Champion for Community Award is a powerful acknowledgment of the work Lozafina continues to do in uplifting voices and building bridges through storytelling,” said Dina Becirovic, Executive Director of The Bloc, Inc., the organization behind the 50 Over 50 Nebraska Awards. “Josefina and her team represent what it means to lead with purpose and heart.”
Through strategic communications and creative storytelling, Lozafina has become a trusted voice in shaping narratives that celebrate diversity, resilience, and community pride. The agency’s recognition at the 50 Over 50 Nebraska event underscores its ongoing commitment to using storytelling as a tool for social impact and meaningful change.
