How One Email Campaign Drove More Than 900 Clicks to the Hustle Conference Website

When Lozafina announced last week that we were working with the Hustle Conference, people paid attention.

Within the first few days of the campaign, two Lozafina newsletters generated more than 900 direct clicks to the Hustle Conference website. It placed the event and its lineup in front of thousands of people across Omaha and beyond.

The Hustle Conference, which is coming to Creighton University on Sept. 30, brings together nationally recognized innovators, Nebraska founders, investors, students, and business leaders for a full day of ideas and conversations.

So, what made 911 people click?

First, we led with names and brands people recognized.

Shazam, GitHub, and Liquid Death immediately gave readers a point of reference. Instead of describing the event as another entrepreneurship conference, we showed people exactly who was coming to Omaha and why that mattered.

Second, we made the message sound like a person, not a brochure.

“Bruhh…Have You Seen Who’s Coming to Omaha?” is not a traditional email subject line. That was the point. It felt conversational, created curiosity, and gave readers a reason to open the email.

Third, we focused on access.

The campaign wasn’t simply selling a seat in an auditorium. It was selling the opportunity to learn from people who have built globally recognized companies, meet Nebraska founders, and connect with potential collaborators, mentors, clients, and investors.

Finally, we used an audience that already trusted us.

Lozafina has spent years building a community around local stories, business leadership, and opportunities people should know about. When we tell our readers that something is worth their attention, they listen.

Clicks are important, but they aren’t the final goal.

Website traffic must lead people toward a clear next action. That means creating easy paths to the ticket page, showing attendees what they will gain, and continuing to build urgency as the event gets closer.

The next phase of the Hustle Conference campaign includes speaker videos, founder stories, community outreach, media pitching, retargeting, and more content focused on who will be in the room.

Because marketing isn’t about publishing one post and hoping people show up.

It’s about giving people a reason to pay attention and then giving them a reason to act.
