Journalists are busy and under pressure to find stories, therefore, a good press release should provide content that is exciting, easy to read, and informative. A well-written press release should answer the "who," "what," "where," "why" and "when," within the first paragraph, including a quote from an organizational representative. Most press releases are succinct at just a page long, which is just enough information for the media to decide on coverage of the event or announcement being made.
