Millwork Conversations: Civic Engagement Panel

  • Millwork Commons 1229 Millwork Avenue Omaha, NE, 68102 United States (map)

With the voting season coming up, organizations want to help Omaha citizens understand the importance of their voice.

Doors open at 5:30 pm and the conversation will start at 6 pm. At 6:45 pm there will be time for Q&A’s and a social hour at Kros Strain Draft Works afterwards.

In March, Jo Giles, executive director of Women’s Fund Omaha, will moderate the conversation on civil engagements. Panelists will include Brad Christian from Sallis of Nebraska Civic Engagement Table, Kimara Snipes of One Omaha, and Dr. Lina Translaviña-Stover of Heartland Worker’s Center.

Civic Nebraska will also be on hand to help attendees register to vote. Habitat for Humanity will also be on hand to discuss petitions and civic concerns.
