This viral TikTok weight loss drink is made up of WHAT??

By Xitlally Velasco

We meet again! Some weird items are on the chopping block today, including a viral do-it-yourself TikTok drink where consumers have claimed to lose up to 40lbs in only two months. Keep scrolling to learn more.

So…What’s Trending?

1. Propolis Toner.

Propolis toner is a hydrating skincare solution composed of propolis, an ingredient derived from beehives. Propolis is known to protect the skin’s natural barrier by sealing the skin, which promotes the repair of scars.

You can purchase a bottle of Propolis toner on Amazon for $12.

The substance contains more than 500 compounds, many of which have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

2. Recovery Shoes.

Recovery shoes are a type of specialty footwear designed to be worn post-workout.

You can purchase recovery shoes on Amazon starting at about $25.

Usually taking the form of sandals, recovery shoes are generously cushioned to provide a supportive structure that relieves pressure on joints, reduces strain, and improves blood flow to the feet.

3. Oatzempic.

Oatzempic is a simple blended drink made with half a cup of rolled oats, one cup of water, cinnamon and lime juice. The name is a play on words for Ozempic, a diabetes medication.

Ozempic is a weekly injection that helps lower blood sugar by helping the pancreas make more insulin. It is not approved for weight loss, but it has a side effect of slowing down digestion and convincing your body it’s full faster.

Research indicates that the beta-glucan fiber in oats may regulate hunger hormones, potentially aiding in long-term weight management and reducing obesity rates. However, losing up to 40lbs in just two months is extreme. You may be drawn to trying out this drink once or twice, but remember, a diet is all about a healthy balance. Stay safe!

4. Divorce Rings.

You read that right- divorce rings. A divorce ring is a reconstruction of your original engagement or wedding ring, so no new purchase necessary.

Emily Ratajkowski (pictured on the left) filed for divorce; in her case, she got two new divorce rings (also pictured on the left) from her original two-stone engagement ring.

People who hold sentimental value to their rings can still keep their jewelry and symbolize a fresh start to the next chapter of their lives.
