Pro Surfer Experiences Big Waves in Nebraska - No Ocean Necessary

By Xitlally Velasco

Welcome back! We have some cool stuff on this week’s list. Who would’ve thought that Nebraska left a speechless impression on an ex-professional surfer? Keep scrolling to learn more.

So… What’s Trending?

1. Tofu Cat Litter

Tofu cat litter is primarily made from soy. It doesn’t contain harmful toxins or synthetic compounds (However, I wouldn’t suggest trying it). It’s also biodegradable, so pet owners can dispose of the product by flushing it down the toilet.

You can buy a pack of Tofu cat litter on Amazon starting at $15.

Most traditional cat litter is made with clay, which contains toxins like silica dust. Studies have found that breathing in silica dust can lead to respiratory issues for cats and humans.

2. ADHD Chair

ADHD chairs are convenient because they provide small amounts of movement and stimulation designed to “fulfill our natural human needs for movement and fidgeting”

You can find an array of options online for both adults and children.

These chairs can help one feel at ease while staying focused with tasks.

3. Rare Beauty Dog Toys

Are you a dog owner and a makeup lover? Selena Gomez's makeup company, Rare Beauty, has released a limited-edition line of dog toy plushes. Their TikTok announcement received so much love that some non-dog-owner users want them as bed pillow decor.

You can purchase a toy for $18 on their website.

Rare Beauty has always been cruelty-free, but they recently became Leaping Bunny Certified. This is a voluntary pledge that cosmetic companies make to clear animal testing from all stages of product development.

4. Ben Gravy Surfs Brule, Nebraska

Surf’s up! In 2019, ex-professional surfer Ben Gravy completed his challenge of surfing in all 50 states. How and where did he even go in a state as flat as Nebraska?!

A video taken in 2019 is resurfacing of Gravy surfing Lake McConaughy in Brule, a small rural village in Western Nebraska. He initially visited Fun-Plex to surf their wave pool, which he thought was the only option.

Nebraska has hidden gems, after all!
